I’m very pleased to finally announce the details of the book launch event for The Grim Old Days (available for pre-order now). Emma Camp of the Wall Street Journal and Dominic Pino of the Washington Post will both speak at the book forum, connecting the book’s themes to current debates about skepticism toward free markets, the value of economic growth, and the potential of new technologies to usher in what some believe could be a new industrial revolution.
I am truly honored to have such incredible speakers comment on the book. You may be familiar with Emma from her viral videos defending free markets, or from her days at Reason before her Wall Street Journal fame. Before joining the Washington Post as an editorial writer, Dominic served as economics editor at National Review and has long been a staunch defender of economic freedom offering insightful commentary. I recommend reading his recent Washington Post piece arguing that we have the Industrial Revolution to thank for hiking.
