On September 18th, I am speaking at the Network of Enlightened Women’s fall Capitol Hill Intern Summit in Washington, DC, for interns and young professional women. On October 9th, in Berkeley, CA, I’m doing a pre-release book signing and giveaway of the Grim Old Days during the annual Progress Conference (“a four day event to connect people and ideas in the progress movement”) co-hosted by Human Progress. You can learn more about the conference here.

On October 24th, in Calgary, Alberta in Canada, I’m giving a talk on the Grim Old Days as part of the Fraser Institute’s Explore Public Policy Issues seminar. I’m doing a book signing of the Grim Old Days during the National Council of Teachers of English (NCTE) Annual Conference, which takes place this year November 19th-22nd (the exact date of the signing is still to be decided) in Philadelphia, PA. I will also be tabling with Cato’s Sphere Initiative. This is the conference website.
